Once upon a time, I found an ad in the local paper under the employment section that read something along the lines of: “Delivery driver wanted. Must love music and money.”
A couple weeks later I found myself drinking and smoking heavily with a rather rough crowd while hustling strangers all over Los Angeles and Orange County, trying to sell them low-end home theater speakers at substantial mark-ups.
My career as a “white van speaker scammer” was short-lived, but it was an eye-opening experience. Years later, I decided to create this website as a place for those who have been approached by these shady entrepreneur types who might be looking for more information about it. I also created it so those who were duped into buying overpriced speakers by these pushy peddlers would have a place to commiserate, or at least share their story. And I also created it so that speaker scammers, both past and present, could get a little chuckle out of whatever it is they might happen to find on this site.
I am not here to crusade against the speaker street hustling industry, nor am I here to defend it. This site is here for amusement. Stop taking everything so seriously!
